Thermal imaging is the process of using a camera that captures the heat waves, otherwise known as infrared light, these waves are invisible to the human eye. Since water cools off as it evaporates it leaves a cold spot compared to it's surroundings. This cold spot allows us to discover problems that would otherwise go unnoticed. Since water intrusion is one of the main degrading factors in a home it is important to catch any intrusion problems as early as possible. Thermal imaging is a complex field and you can rest assured that you are getting a quality thermal inspection. The interNACHI certification requires extensive education before allowing a member to call themselves Infrared Certified.
